YOUR TREATMENT, EXPLAINED

Acne Clear Program (7 Sessions): benefits and your visit.

Benefits and common uses

Acne care addresses breakouts and the needs of blemish-prone skin through an individualized approach. Active acne, acne marks and acne scars need different care. Acne develops when follicles become blocked and inflamed. Blackheads, whiteheads, inflamed spots and deeper painful nodules do not all respond to the same treatment. Dermatology guidance supports options such as benzoyl peroxide, retinoids and other prescription treatments chosen for the type and severity of acne. Gentle cleansing and noncomedogenic moisturizers can support skin comfort alongside an appropriate treatment plan. A facial program may be part of your skin-care routine, but it should not replace medical treatment for painful, persistent or scarring acne. Improvement usually takes time rather than happening after one visit. Treating active breakouts early also helps reduce the likelihood of additional dark marks and scars.

Treatment time and your visit

Allow 60 minutes for your Varua Spa appointment. This offering includes 7 sessions. Each visit is arranged separately with the spa, with spacing adapted to the treatment and your response. A complete visit may include a discussion of your concerns, preparation, treatment and aftercare. The hands-on procedure itself may occupy only part of the appointment. Leave space in your day for arrival and any recovery advice. If you are arranging care before a wedding, holiday or special occasion, allow time for skin to settle rather than scheduling a new procedure immediately beforehand. Review the response after each visit before deciding on further treatment.

Preparation and aftercare

Bring a list of acne medications, including oral treatments and topical retinoids. Do not stop a prescribed medicine without the prescriber’s advice. Avoid picking spots and using harsh scrubs. Seek dermatology care for deep painful acne, new scarring or breakouts that are not improving. Sunscreen and a gentle routine are especially useful when acne products make skin more sensitive. Keep a record of the products or procedures you have recently used so your practitioner can identify anything that may affect care. Share concerns about comfort and any previous reaction before treatment begins. A gentler or postponed appointment can be the right choice when skin is inflamed or you are unwell. Do not stop a prescribed medicine or change a medical recovery plan on your own. If you need advice about a health condition, involve the clinician who manages it.

Results and ongoing care

The most helpful way to evaluate a treatment is to focus on the concern being addressed: comfort, texture, hair growth, expression lines or another specific goal. Some cosmetic changes are short-lived, while collagen-related changes and hair-cycle responses take longer. Your starting point, skin characteristics, general health and daily routine influence the response. Consistent photographs in similar lighting can be useful for monitoring visible changes, but they cannot replace a professional assessment. More treatments or stronger settings do not necessarily give a better result. Discuss progress and any unwanted effects before continuing a series. Maintaining gentle skin care and protecting exposed skin from the sun are useful foundations for many aesthetic plans. Contact the treating professional if recovery is not progressing as expected. Individual results vary.
